Running Down a Dream
Our authentic-Neapolitan pizzas are born from the deep roots of the Italian Amalfi Coast. Mark’s great-grandfather, Gennaro Consiglio, was born in Amalfi, and his great-grandmother, Catherina Savo, was born in Atrani. They immigrated to New Haven, Connecticut at the turn of the 20th Century, where other branches of the Consiglio family made their way with pizza at the helm (Sally’s Apizza and Frank Pepe Pizzeria).
Chef Mark graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in New York (way back in 1995), before gravitating to Winter Park, Colorado where he met his wife, Angie. With over twenty-five years of experience in the food industry, including working as executive chef in one of Boulder’s top fine-dining restaurants, Mark brings wisdom and finesse to the table (literally).
Always ready for something new, they (along with their three kids and German Short-haired Pointer) are excited to be in Arizona making quality pizza from the best ingredients available. Opened from September until the end of May, the couple returns to the high-country of Colorado in the summer where Mark is a fly-fishing guide.
